I would love to know more about Russia’s complex weapons systems production capacity - especially when it comes to aircraft. We keep hearing how Russia is incapable of building more aircraft like the Tu-22 and is reliant on leftovers from the Cold War, however until very recently wasn’t Russia supplying the world with vast quantities of 3rd and 4th generation fighters? Are we underestimating Russia’s production capacity? Can they not produce IL-76s to replace the ones Ukraine burned? Where are these systems currently made (aircraft and helicopters), what quantities, are any stockpiled? Thank you for all your hard work.
It seems like Russia has been using more AirPower along the front lines than 6 months or a year ago. I wonder if it’s due to Ukraine’s increasing advantages in artillery range. I just don’t see how Russia is going to be able to hold on in the long run, if the West continues to provide Ukraine with money and supplies. Even if it is slower than it should be. Unfortunately it means a lot more dead because of the West’s slow response.
