Russia-Ukraine Flash Report 28NOV23 14:00 PST - Wife of Ukrainian Intelligence Head Poisoned
🕑 Added 2023-11-28 21:29:35 +0000 UTCThe Ukrainian government has confirmed that the wife of Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the Main Directorate of Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR), Marianna, was poisoned with "heavy metals" used as the agent. Budanov's wife is reportedly hospitalized, completing treatment, and is expected to recover.
Several other GUR agents were also poisoned and reportedly had milder symptoms. The poisoning is considered an assassination attempt. Budanov and his wife live in his windowless office somewhere in Kyiv. Food is considered the most likely item used to deliver the poison. Accidental environmental poisoning has been ruled out.

Russian propagandists seem to think Budanov is an even bigger threat than Zelensky. I heard or read somewhere that he recently said in an interview that he did not rule out the presence of sleeper spies still lurking in his organization. Looks like they were "activated".
