I was on a date with someone. And they didn't know anything about me. I did roast them A bit about not googling me ahead of time. I know what comes up when people search for me, and they didn't know any of that.

'look into who you are going a date with' Says the woman that Steph just met and doesn't really have a clue about other than she's friends with her sister. Kinda ironic

I think its a good sign of character that they are willing to help, when it doesn't help them. I think our influencer is kind, but she's not free of accountability. She is friends with Steph's sister. So she can't be too mean.

It feels weird when you are telling an inexperienced person things that they need to know when you're someone who could benefit from that inexperience. I mean, it's common human decency to do so, especially where dating/sex is involved. But it goes for other things, too. As an example, I commissioned a young artist online to create twelve 3d character models for a comic I am (eventually getting around to) making, payment on completion. He sent me the first model to look over for any tweaks, and I told him DON'T DO THAT. I said, "our dealings have been entirely online and you live in another country. You can't be sure the guy at the other end is going to pay you or not. Send screen shots of the models for me to inspect. Then get paid when you have completed the work (through the screen shots I'll know you have done the work). Only after you have been paid are you to send me the models." I mean, I was never going to stiff him, but someone less scrupulous might have gotten the models and then blocked him (this was done entirely over Facebook) and there would have been nothing he could have done.
