Blackhall Stormhost Part 2: Sequitors

Adding to the series on my army we have all the details that make the Sequitors unique. If you haven't seen the previous videos in this series we have already covered the armor, base, and shield design, I will link those videos below.
These Sequitors also mark the completion of my army, huzzah! Now to collect another!

From Liquitex: Titanium White
Other ingredients: Army painter Strong tone wash, Dark Angels Green Contrast Paint, and P3's Turquoise ink.

Haha, I feel ya! Those aelves have the same problem that a lot of chaos models have. They can be a little too dense with detail which doesn't allow much room to work and it feels like endless edge highlighting. I'll put that idea on the endless list for sure! Sometimes it's all about the recipe as well, picking a simple range of colors, maybe airbrushing a harmonizing tone and focus on making the capes pop? Something like that. I'll have to get more tabletop approaches on the list. For now we're going to be talking Sigvald which I'm pretty stoked on :)

I was thinking about the video and your process a bit more and I want to adapt more of your painting style, wet blended base coats, touch ‘n’ go, not necessarily base, wash, highlight. While I’m also painting Stormcast and get a good idea how to do it with them I struggle with the other type of mini I paint a lot of and love the most. It’s elves. Age of Sigmar aelves. They are pretty tiny and have a loooot of details. I mean, the approach should be the same I guess, but it feels harder? Or maybe it’s just because there is not so much room, literally, on the mini. I don’t know. :D Maybe if you get your hands on a Lumineth Sentinel or Warden or something like that - or any other foot slogging elf from AoS - you could someday do a video on one of those. Or maybe you have some thoughts just here in the comments. Sorry, a lot of rambling. No pressure, no expectations. But maybe something for your never endling list of video ideas. Cheers Sam!
I half expected you to crash into your camera rig with your Risky Business, rolling chair intro, but then I forgot...you're a pro. Lol. Excellent, informative video as always. Your breakdown of your paints and process in the description is SUPER helpful. Thanks for the inspiration and motivation. I feel the need for paint...and minis. Putting paint on minis...you know what I mean.
