Some of my scenes from Negative Positive Angler #2
🕑 Added 2024-11-29 15:45:45 +0000 UTCWe at Studio Nut worked on NP Angler from all the way back in 2021 or so to 2024. These are some of my scenes from the early days of production. I had just started using Clip Studio Paint a couple months before and I was still trying to get the hang of it.
Take a look at the attached file to see both the rough layout and the Genga. The way I drew in my early days vary greatly from now, so if you are interested in my own learning journey, please take a look.

I'll be working on a video talking about my CSP setup in January once I get all my year end work finished so look forward to that! In the meantime, the main brush I use is the 'Animator's Pencil' that you can find here: https://assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=1728670 I use that at a width of 3-10 to both drawn and ink. Let me know if ypu have any questions!

Dong, would you release a screenshot or description for your g-pen settings in clip studio? One for your loose sketching then the one you use for inking, thank you!

Good question! I actually marked where I wanted the line to be retraced from a master drawing with the red line. So for that scene the douga animator will reference A3 or whatever is noted under the "同トレス" instruction.

For the cat, what’s that red outline on the fur for? I’m guessing it’s for highlights but idk.
