No, if you already a patreon you just change patreon tier. It will cost you difference between silver and gold patreon (15$) and you will change immediatelly.

Unfortunately yes, Patreon will only charge the upgrade on the 1st of each month.
Current Silver patron here, if I upgrade to gold will I have to wait to get chapter 5? I'm not sure how long it takes to "process" the upgrade
