I find a lot of them wouldn't last the whole night. You'd need to find a really good one that will glow for the whole night - some will stop glowing after 1-3 hours so that wouldn't be useful all night.

I have two sets of bedding too, same system as Gav. Is it a British thing?.. absolutely can never guarantee the sheets will be dry by bed time in the UK.

To andrew's cat kicking problem. I have these little nightlights that you can stick to a wall that are motion activated. The light is fairly soft and you could probably position it round the corner of the door so much light doesn't leak out of the bahtroom. They are Wyze nightlights I use them in my bathroom for this exact purpose. Cats might trigger them maaybe mind but they shine for like 30 seconds without a big motion and as I said the light is quite gentle so with some fiddling I think they would be much less intrusive then night vision goggles. Also not on Andrew's side with the hearing thing.
