Jesus, the whole food thing was about variety of taste, just poorly articulated, if Gavin had a large room temp Granny Smith apple (his favourite) he'd still rank it lower by the end because there was no change. I understand where he's coming from, but I LIKE food, so, give me a large apple instead. A red one. Get that tart crap outta here.

I think it's so funny that he gets bored of a pretzel half way through😂 I eat a ham sandwich for lunch everyday, and have yet to get bored of it.

Nah it's not a palette change thing I think he's just ranking food over an average. Like the food started as a 10 but before he finished it he got bored of the flavor and it became a 6 resulting in the average score of 8.

I understand Gavin, but do not agree with him. Also I feel like they need to re evaluate how they evaluate a food. Like do they score the food best on how good it was the whole thing, or is it the score at the first bite. So like appetite fatigue, or how Eric Geoff and Nick are taking where it's the score from the first bite

I think to solve Gavin's palate fatigue, he needs to multiclass into Nick's "Sauce Monkey" skill tree. An assortment of different sauces might keep his palete refreshed with variety without decreasing the enjoyment of the current course.

Imma be completely honest, this podcast has delivered a lot of moments that shocked me to my core, but Andrew knowing what water chestnuts are might have just skyrocketed right up to the top 🤯 The math is not mathing, like this man’s never had an egg but casually drops a “bacon wrapped water chestnuts” pick, unreal
