i think this is my favorite episode of this show for some reason. i like the little character interactions that happen like the consort giving her a pin too. maybe im seeing the last episode and this as one.

Queen/Empress dowager is a title that means the widow of the previous monarch. Queen/Empress mother means the mother of the reigning monarch. A person doesn't necessarily hold both the titles, since the current reigning monarch could be from a previous marriage and the former monarch could've remarried and thus the widow would only be a dowager. That being said I don't know how much this actually has an effect in the story, since I'm not that far ahead of you guys in watching this show, but I just wanted to make sure that it's clear that dowager isn't her name. I could also just be misinterpreting what you said as a non-native speaker and that there wasn't any confusion to begin with and if that is the case, you can just ignore this message and continue being some of the best reactors in Youtube.
