He could just as seriously ask, "To let the woman I love, and who loves me, be taken away by another man because I couldn't get over my own sense of pride... what kind of man would that make me?" Pairin has little control over her own destiny. He should take Jinshi up on the offer even if it means he'll be indebted to him for life. He can always sell it to his overblown ego as him making a grand sacrifice to be with his one true love. Love makes people idiots. I wish they'd hurry up and cure it already.

I recommend “A Sign of Affection” and “Dangers in My Heart.” "A Sign of Affection" is a girls' manga comic, and the characters are adults over the age of 19. Popular with women. I think Ben and Anna who have seen the movie ``A SILENT VOICE'' will really enjoy it. "Dangers in My Heart" is a boys' manga with comedic elements. The characters are middle school students. There are seasons 1 and 2. Both are very wonderful and endearing stories.

I agree that sometimes, especially in fandoms, boiling characters down to a dog/cat personality archetype can be reductive. But it can be useful as a starting place to discuss different character dynamics, so long as you don't start to forget the nuance of the character. I feel like Cat-Dog is actually a fairly common pairing, with the bubbly personality type bringing the quiet personality type out of their shell. Examples of dog-dog, cat-dog, cat-cat pairings: Tomo-Chan is a Girl: Tomo and Jun (Most Dog-Dog pairing I've ever seen) The Danger's In My Heart: Ichikawa and Yamada (Cat-Dog) Lycoris Recoil: Chisato and Takina (Dog-Cat) Kaguya-Sama: Love is War: Kaguya and Shirogane (Cat-Cat, though you could also convince me Shirogane falls under the dog personality type)
