not going to assume where you got these vids/subs from (seems like MTBB) but I get the feeling you genuinely enjoy this series. So, just FYI, on the BD (and the rips wink wink) there is a commentary track that I only recently discovered. I rewatched ep 1 with it and it was Senjougahara and Hanekawa commenting on the episode, but in character, and it was the most fun I've had rewatching Monogatari since the last time I watched it. In case you'd like to dive even deeper on your own time, there's a lot of meta exposition there to process.

The Monogatari series was originally a light novel series written by nisioisin. It does have a manga now, but that started production after the anime and has it's own take on the story. The blurbs of text that flash on screen both at the start and during the episode are all direct excerpts from the source.

Novel reader here, the flashing texts are excerpts from the novel. I wouldn't bother pausing the episode every time there is one, but especially the bits at the start do convey a lot of info absent in the adaptation so it's worthwhile to come back to those texts after finishing an episode.

The source material isn't a manga, its a novel. The title cards are excerpts from the books.

I tried reading the manga but came to the conclusion that it is just waaaaay to unnecessarily horny for me. I don't need that many shots of boobs and panties, I here for the characters and the story. Although I do have to say, some of the additions in the manga were interesting and the art is gorgeous sometimes, I'll rather stick to the anime and the light novels.

See, I used to think this too. But you need to learn that it's okay that Oh Great! adapted it with his own twist. If it was just another adaptation of the novels, it'd be pretty much the same. As an artist, I don't see them doing. It's actually amazing how he added his own twists and kept the spirit of the original and everything amazing about it. The art is utterly incredible. Detach yourself from hating everything different.

All monogatari-series are originally a light novel by the great author Nisiosin-sensei. The adaptation to anime is characterized by representing the subjectivity of the characters through visual deformations of reality instead of a deep description as in the novels. An example from the first chapter is when Araragi takes Senyougahara's arm without asking permission, during the entire time he touches her the screen transforms into a nightmare, which makes much more sense when you discover what happened in our favorite heroine's past.

I’m also looking forward to the hanekawa arc and I just know Anna with her romance riddled brain will love the episode focusing on Sengougahara and Araragi but the top thing I’m looking forward to is Kizu I hope it’s after Bake because they seem very interested in shinobu

dont knw if anyone said this yet. but whenever a "blank" screen is showing when araragi blinks. Also with the flashing text you're meant to only catch parts of it to get you thinking, whether its the right path or not. Well at least that is what i believe.

I cannot stress this enough to anyone who reads this the manga is the worst adaptation of this story by a huge margin , the LN is fantastic and has great content the anime misses and handles some scene (bathtub for example) much much better. The manga is a travesty. Even inside Hitagi Crab the artist makes choices which undermines the story.
