Nani BE Comic WIP 1
🕑 Added 2021-07-27 10:03:38 +0000 UTCIt looks like Nani from Peeved won the poll. Here's my first idea for the result, I'd like to see what's thought of it. I drew this from memory, so anything I needed reference isn't complete.
Although I could have just used Sena's magic for a reason, I thought there would other silly ideas too.
Here's my rough ideas for the dialog, featuring short ninja Nani and her grumpy roommate Sara-
Panel 1
Sara: We'll be late if you don't hurt, shorty.
Panel 2
Nani: *Ugh* My clothes don't fit.
Panel 3
Nani: I've put on some weight!
Sara: I see that. Why didn't I notice earlier?
Panel 4
Nani: Most of the weight I gain always goes to my boobs.
Panel 5
Sara: You need a diet soon or you won't fit through doors.
Nani: Geez! And I'm almost bigger than Juno in sheer size!
Some of the panels need some resizing to give the dialog space. Any thoughts?

I feel like the posing of Panel 3, being the big arms-back chest-thrust "BE Pose" splash panel, needs something more exclamatory or surprised than just "I've put on some weight". The posing and flow of the art makes it seem like it's a more sudden-BE, but the dialogue suggests a gradual weight-gain-BE, so I feel like there's a disconnect? I love the "I'm almost bigger than Juno in sheer size!" line in Panel 5. Maybe alter the posing to really emphasize her "holy shit I'm huge" realization? Looking down at them, maybe hefting them in her arms?
