This past week was a bit of a gut-punch to me, and I was in a pretty bad headspace for a while. I was dealing with a family medical emergency (I think everything is fine now, thankfully) when my new Necrovert.com website host decided to shut down my online store without warning or explanation. They still aren't returning my emails, but the only hint they've given me was that one of their "banking partners" had flagged my shop as "high risk", by which I think they mean I sell adult content. They had already collected a sizable sum of money from selling my products, and now I'm not sure if they even intend to deliver at least that to me... again, they are refusing to update me, saying they needed three to five business days to investigate the matter, and no other customer service there will talk to me because, as far as they are concerned, it's already being dealt with.
In the meantime, my shop is just broken, with no indication as to whether or not they actually intend to provide the service I was paying them for.
This really extra sucks, because I spent a lot of time working on building my new website with them and had gotten very excited when I saw all the sales pouring in during a time where I could really use some extra money.
I really don't like complaining to you folks about my problems. I usually prefer to keep that sort of thing to myself. You folks are here for entertainment after all.
It's just that... I don't know... something feels different about this time, and I'm really having trouble focusing on anything right now.
I always tell you folks to ask for help when you need it, even though that's really hard for me to do myself, and, honestly, I don't even know what anyone could do to help me at this point.
I just... damn man, this sucks.

It's Squarespace I'm having trouble with now. Still trying to get a response from them. I'd love if I could still work it out with them, but, at this point, I don't think I'd ever recommend them to anyone else.

Dangit, those damn puritanists getting into things again. Another comic artist i sub to had similar issues with Gumroad, his last novel was presold there but they don't offer that service for adult content any more, so he's had to resort to kickstarter this year (which got funded in record time, yay). This sucks, and I feel for you :(

Or, more precisely, if we ARE doing business with them, we can discontinue said business, pull any finances we have from them, and essentially, make certain they are incapable of doing what they are doing to you, to anyone else, ever. Essentially, pillage out our resources from them, burn their reputation, or reeducation them to more acceptable behavior, and, failing that, salt the earth, by spreading the results of their actions far and wide, so that their company is no longer a viable entity. A fully legal and ethical action, but one designed to express the displeasure of both their customers and consumer base. If they are incapable of acting with consideration and honor, then, as a company, they do not deserve to continue to exist. I have been burned by such companies in the past, and would be quite content to visit the appropriate level of retribution upon companies that earn it. I have, like wise, dealt with corporations whom have not only dealt fairly with me and those who I work with, and, until such time as they fail to do so, I sing their praises. If they refuse to deal fairly with you, give us the information on this company, and they will be dealt with appropriately. Sorry if I've come across a tad vengeful, but I am tired of so many corporate or political entities that abuse both their customers/those whom they serve, and those who would invest in those entities, with either time, resources or simple trust, only for it to be taken for granted. It is time for a change...
