As with many companies, they always make the biggest button the "sign up for us!" link. And as usual, just look a bit outside the big box for a small, mouse-print "download the file directly" link. No need for an account, free or otherwise, nor to save it to your Dropbox. Try "open link in private window" to get the view everyone else sees, where you can just directly download it :)

With Dropbox, you do have to have an account, but not a paid one, just their default free one. Afterwards, you can just download straight to your computer and not copy into your dropbox. When you click the link and highlight over the files or folder, the download option should come up.

You shouldn't even have to have a dropbox account to download the files to your computer or phone directly. Maybe someone more tech savvy than me can assist if you're still having trouble.
