I could be missing something but if you click the little band button and adjust the slider (underneath the mix knob in the bottom left) it ducks frequencies below what the slider is set to

Yeah you can do that on shaper box! But not in kickstart.

Not sure if it’s exactly what you meant with the multi band thing but the little band button and slider in the bottom left lets you control what frequencies are sidechained. For example if you press band and set the slider to 200hz everything below 200 is sidechained to the kick and everything above isn’t sidechained if that makes sense

Shaperbox can be triggered same way. But still use kickstart for simplicity. Also depending on the length of kick you sometimes wanna adjust accordingly. 100 agree the midi is annoying haha

I’ve been using this for a while but recently went back to the midi trigger, since it leaves some stuff at the transient and it’s distorting sometimes :/

I'd be curious to see what your thoughts are on Kickstart 2 versus this: https://robertkgm.gumroad.com/l/gma-duck It's a M4L Ableton Plugin I was recently introduced to, in a similar price range. Not sure if u have heard of it before but seems to follow a similar concept & I deff dig it. Would love to hear ur thoughts on it in comparison!
