The Matrix: How to Begin a Movie (video essay)
🕑 Added 2017-05-04 13:11:59 +0000 UTC I made another one.I mentioned at the end of the previous video that I was considering doing another video essay on The Matrix. The response and demand ended up being far greater than I expected (like, almost every comment on the video is a demand for another one), so I figured I'd just keep the momentum going and and do it immediately.
This one is a detailed breakdown of the opening scene and what makes it so effective. It gets really detailed and nerdy, and I had a blast making it.
As I mention in the outro, expect more video essays/non-fiction content than usual this month, and then way more narrative shorts this summer.

Thanks Patrick. I'll try that.

It all comes down to the length of the clips. You've gotta keep them short. I've had a couple videos get a copyright claim, so I deleted it, shortened the clip in question, re-uploaded, and had no problem.
Great work. When I've posted video essays to YouTube, they would get removed for copyright infringement. How were you able to avoid this?
