Might be worth investing in a 3D printer... ...though that is a very very deep cave to go down.

How about recessing the fins into the cone? It will give more surface area for the epoxy to adhere to and resistance to the bending force of the air

Keeping it simple is a very difficult thing to do sometimes
Glad you got a good method recommended. Mine based on the pegs would have been overly complicated for sure. I need to remember to think simpler on stuff.
