I love how Losté wakes up emaciated. Kind of implies that it's an "imperfect" stasis technology -- i.e., it doesn't completely freeze the occupants in time, but somehow slows their metabolic processes? Kind of reminds me of the stasis method used in Blindsight by Peter Watts. [Spoiler:] Passengers aboard the Theseus are placed into a kind of torpor, facilitated by drugs and the passengers having been genetically modified with genes from an extinct vampire species of the hominid family tree :)

Yes that’s correct, sorry I need to add in a little info bubble onto the end of issue 1 explaining that, thanks for reminding me. Belfast is both translating for losté’s benefit and using his suits speakers to translate for whomever he is talking to.

I’m sorry if I missed something but how does the main character communicates with the alien races and also the alien races themselves, is it the translation automatically done by Belfast? Cuz I’m very intrigued by the linguistic aspect of all the races

The Prophet reboot was a huge inspiration for this comic, Humanity Lost was really spawned from a desire to see the Prophet series continue.

I think this series might be everything I've ever wanted in a sci-fi--a gritty aesthetic, a somewhat down-to-earth protagonist, creative aliens made very distinct from each other, etc... I'll be looking forward to the next issue!

This is the first time I've ever used Patreon and the first time I've paid for a comic in years. Callum, you fucking rock. Consider me a big fan. This is the best I've read since Prophet, and even though comparisons like that are silly, I can picture you surpassing that. Your style and premise are exactly what I want, and I really hope that this spreads. With that said, when you're ready, you need to move beyond Patreon. It's not an ideal platform for your medium. Don't work yourself to death, but please, please continue to write this magnificent beast you've created.
