june update!
🕑 Added 2024-06-07 00:21:00 +0000 UTChello! it's june! happy pride!!!
this is what i'm working on this month.
A TAVERN FOR TEA update - this is already out on mobile actually (pc will come later) - i've made it so that it should be easier to understand what ingredients you can use in the tea menu since i found people were having trouble with it... sorry this update is coming so late after the game is out! i'm working on new translations for this too & the pc update will come along with the new translations if things go to plan. it looks like the screenshot!
a pet shop after dark controller support - making the game work with controller is proving to be super annoying, why did i make this game so weird??? it's in progress!
marron's day cartridge test - sdhizumi is going to be making cartridges for me so that i can release marron's day on gameboy! we're doing tests this month with different parts to make sure this is possible
a monthly postcard as usual!
i also plan on participating in a short game jam with a friend in the middle of the month so will share that when it's out! the plan is to use godot which i'm excited about since i haven't worked on anything in godot before.
see you all later this month!

i hear from friends who have been learning that it is very easy to pick up so that probably is part of the reason! sounds awesome thanks for explaining (:

Oh I just find it cool how it streamlines the Unity prefabs process! It's really easy to nest scenes inside of each other and nodes are a nice way to think about parts of a game. It's probably the most progress I've made with game programming as a hobbyist. I'd definitely take a look through the design methodology in the Godot docs; it does a great job of explaining its philosophy

Nice! I still have to try A Tavern for Tea on PC, haven't got to finish it yet.

Hope the game jam goes well! Messed around and made a short prototype in Godot recently and I'm a fan of its modular structure
