Its usually mostly american culture we're exposed to, and if anything - as they talked about in this episode - I finally feel like I'm "represented" in anything American. As a Bri'ish listener, there's nothing weird about listening to Americans. Except for Matt Arnold repeatedly saying "Born Mouth" in the most recent episode. I've had to teach my Italian family how to pronounce British place names, the trick is to use as little effort as possible. eg Bournemouth = "born-muff" Birmingham = "birming-um" Worcestershire = "Wusstuhsher" We never say "-Shire" the way they do in The Hobbit.

omg I love the part about cursing, as a Dutchie I was not at all surprised about the cursing in the podcast. Originally from the US, I’ve been in the UK now for over a decade and I know the exact mental image of British people that you’ve got in your head. Fun fact, they’re not sophisticated.
