I think the one with the good screen might be the one that you got from me at the 2/22 Swap Meet. If so, that one ran really well on my first two test runs after purchase... right up until it didn't. Got really hot and made my office smell like fish. Hope you can get one of them running; those screens are excellent. If it comes down to it, just drop a 2300c board into it. It's a direct swap. The 2300 board can take both the greyscale and color screen connectors, as well as both IDE and SCSI drive cables. Lots of drive options then.

I think I have a working 280c that I’d be happy to donate unfortunately I do live across the pond so would need to do some research to ensure that you don’t get hit with pesky import duties!
