ADDITIONALLY, THIS IS PROBABLY ME READING WAY TOO HARD INTO A VIDEO WHERE THE ENTIRE POINT IS THAT ART DOESN'T HAVE TO HAVE IMPLICIT MEANING, BUT... I feel like there's something symbolic about all the empty painting slots in the background. Places where previous art that critics "didn't want to exist" were torn down, perhaps. Or maybe the editor didn't want to look up stock images of paintings, who knows, lmao
