While I also loved the costumes and characterization in Centricide, I think the "same-facedness" with a simple label is kinda meant as a metaphor. Maybe even a post-metaphor.

I think what was really cool about the Centricide series was that characters were very easily recognizable even from a silhouette of a character, they didn't need a big sign on the head to be recognized. Maybe you could make these characters more reconizble from clothing and acting and drop the name signs. Just a thought.

I actually think this is an interesting take on schizophrenia on a whole. The people who suffer from it don’t necessarily “see things” that aren’t there, they might just perceive things differently, or maybe even see things that exist, but we can’t perceive them. It’s like the fourth dimension kind of stuff where reality is mostly subjective. For example, some animals see colours we don’t.
