Some people asked "why is Ragnar so caring with Yule when they just met?" and the answer is because people who need help awaken something in him, an urge to protect and fight for them. Of course he never developed any romantic feelings for Todd (laughs), and if he's developing feelings for Yule or not is not only due to Yule needing help, but that's definitely the seed that fixed Ragnar's mind into him.
