Today's Video: PowerCord is a 5.9 mm accessory cord with a unique braided Technora core which doubles the strength of a standard 5.9 mm accessory cord. Technora is a high-strength, yet lightweight material making PowerCord a great option for anchor building and haul lines. A Tension Backtie is used in a rescue rigging system to stabilize a monopod/bipod/tripod, backup a tree anchor, or shore up any other anchor. A 50 meter Sterling Velocity 9.8 mm rope is listed as weighing in at 62g/m or 3,100g which is about 6.8 lbs. Skinny PowerCord will be a fraction of that rope weight.
Ok, I found a weight of 26g/m for Sterling PowerCord on a Safety Access and Rescue website. If that is correct, 26g/m *50m= 1300g or about 2.9 lbs. Please check my calcs!
