Also that Lars only stopped Axel because it was Ethan he was kicking, and you're correct too ( ' v ' ;;; Currently Lars is struggling heavily, but it's not because he doesn't want to kill Ragnar (he'd kill both Ragnar and Yule and he wouldn't even blink), it's because he has feelings for Ethan (as a friend) and it's clear to him now that if he proceeds Ethan's going to hate him. But if he doesn't proceed, he feels he's going to let Axel down. Axel, who in his head is a victim of Ragnar's. He's probably having the worst time of his life (but so is everyone else just because he can't be objective or find another way to heal his lover).

The problem is Lars doesn't want to kill Ragnar just to make Axel happy, he wants to kill him because he hates him from the bottom of his heart (because he had sex with Axel, which is something he never forgave him for, and because after he rejected him Axel fell into depression for weeks and Lars saw the love of his life suffer deeply because of Ragnar. That none of that was Ragnar's fault is meaningless to Lars, he can't be objective in this). But at the same time, he doesn't want to upset Ethan because he already feels guilty enough to have burned his house down and he wants to keep his friendship somehow. It's complicated.

I feel for Lars but at the same time I don't. I get that he is having a hard time choosing between making his friend happy and making his lover happy. But I really do hope Ethan can break through to him somehow. And now that Ragnar is awake shit is really gunna hit the fan

I've known people like Lars who were very kind to their friends but absolute a*sholes to those they didn't like. To me a good person is someone who doesn't hurt others, not someone who can easily destroy you depending on whether they like you or not. Lars doesn't want to kill Ragnar because Axel asked him to, he wants to because he's hated him ever since he slept with Axel, and that hatred comes from the fact he made Axel cry as much as it comes from jealousy.

The fact that some of yβall still feel sorry for Lars is astounding π he is not being manipulated. The author has said that many times. He wants to kill Ragnar and he doesnβt care if Yule dies too. I hope he becomes good one day but he is not a good person that deserves pity, not yet at least.
