And for the first time in his life he can't find anyone else to blame. He was so sure Lars would win that this scenario never crossed his mind, so now he has a lot to regret (hence the chapter title). Ragnar doesn't have anymore f*** to give. He took Skye's pain as his own and he's not feeling any sympathy for Axel's tears.

Omg I’m so done with Axel! The only one I feel bad for is Lars. Like he’s just a pawn in Axel’s game. But if only Yule could see, he would fall I love with Ragnar all over again! I really love how the angst and character development is unfolding. It’s just keeping us so invested and rooting for Ragnar and co 💖
