A “hello” and life update!
🕑 Added 2023-03-15 21:54:52 +0000 UTCGood day to you all, near and far. I hope you’re all doing well, finding peace in life, and enjoying the changing seasons. In my neck of the woods, it’s getting warmer, the days are getting longer, and little green signs of hope are everywhere.
I’ve just returned from some travels, and it’s great to be home. Traveling is a big accomplishment for me, as my anxiety disorder once had me believing that I’d never leave my house again. Some of you have reached out to me about how I “beat” my anxiety, and I recently made a video all about how I deal with my panic attacks. I wouldn’t say that I’ve beat it per se, but I have figured it out. I’ve learned its ins and outs. I’ve learned to not let it run my life or drive my decision making. I’m at peace with it. I hope my fellow anxiety warriors can someday find this same acceptance.
With my trip came a nice break from screens. I tried to make a video, but my portable mic wasn’t working and Youtube instantly age restricted/demonetized the two minute update I attempted to share. Whatever. Regardless, it was wondrous for my mental health to not read hate comments every single day. To not have to tamp down the urge to argue with internet trolls every day. To not have to field requests for sexual content every day. This is the sort of behavior that has led some of my favorite ASMRtists to quit entirely, but fear not! I’m determined to press onward, because if I don’t, they win. On we go.
I planted a cherry blossom tree in my yard today. They’re super common around here, and so very beautiful. Their blossoms remind me of something from a Dr. Seuss book - fluffy, pink, and cartoonish. My tree is just a baby, but I can’t wait to watch it grow. Working with the earth gives me hope and inner peace like no other.
On that note, I’ll be spending a lot more time outside now that the weather has warmed up. Planting, gardening, tending, watering, harvesting… it might be its own little genre of ASMR.

ive got dat OCD anxiety disorder, which reared its ugly head when i turned 16. i finally made it to a place of relative peace with its presence myself. so i always have tried to shared the knowledge, tools, experience, and wisdom that i have gained during this journey. things i wished someone told me during the worst of it. and i was very grateful to see you doing the same with a large audience. i could absolutely relate with all that you shared in that video and i was happy to see that information and encouragement was reaching so many people. you are helping more people than you may even realize and im proud to be a fan!

Thank you so much!! I’ll definitely be experimenting with outdoor/gardening themed ASMR in the near future. I agree it’s very cathartic and I hope I can combine these two hobbies if mine :)

Thank you for sharing! I’m sorry that you get hateful and hurtful messages, that’s the opposite of what ASMR is about. I did really enjoy the video about anxiety. It was really cool if you to share. I’m excited about the warm weather too. Garden is so cathartic. It pairs perfectly with ASMR. Really appreciate what you do!
