I again apologize for the delay, but I cannot even put into words how these last three weeks have been some of the saddest, scariest, most horrible days of my life. I have not grieved quite like this before and it’s tough to write about. I’d like to make a video about it, though. Soon.
Though I live in a hard-hit city, my home and family were spared. I was able to return home and return to work and find a new sense of normalcy. That said, I have also seen towns and places I love completely devastated, washed out, and in some cases, completely removed from the map. Mother Nature takes what she wants and does not discriminate. It doesn’t feel real yet.
People I care about have lost everything. Their homes, cars, and everything in them. People I care about have lost loved ones. People are sadly still missing. Survivor’s guilt gnaws. I have thrown myself into volunteering where I can and offering my services for free to as many people as I can.
Please continue to pray and/or send positive and healing vibes to the southeast USA that faced the wrath of Helene.

Oh my goodness, I can certainly imagine your heartbreak as you see what has happened in the region. Western NC is such a special place. It is devastating but the people I’ve been interacting with are in good spirits and determined to recover 💜 Thank you for your kindness!

The NC mountains were my home for over a decade, and my heart breaks myself and for all my friends up there as well as you and yours. I’m so sad this happened, and I hope your recovery is as swift and uplifting as possible. ❤️
