My neighborhood had a lady feeding coyotes because she wanted to "trap them and take them to the vet for shots"... The result is we had to have a week of people hunting coyotes in the suburbs to kill the pack because they started murking peoples pets and threatening children.

I love everything about this. Sometimes I think that the domestication of animals will be our downfall, and full disclosure, I have 3 cats. Also 2 tortoises. But it lowers our natural respect/caution/fear of other furry/scaly/feathery beings. I know people who believe that if they spend enough time, treats, and goodwill on any non-pet creature, they can turn it into a pet and life will be better for everyone involved. So misguided.
