He always went with try-hard wannabe overpowered characters in the past (successfully or not) but Tony was always extremely flawed and vulnerable. Exactly my point. Will decided the character deserved to die, so he got shot. But then he dragged it out, dangling the "Oh you can totally survive, just try harder, you've almost got it!" So much work was put in to their explaination on why Tony survived, and into getting him back with the group. Only for him to kneecapped at every foreseeable opportunity. Should have just killed him sooner. But I guess Will wanted a more cinematic death. Unfortunate. Tony was my favorite character before he got shot. But now, eh. We'll see how Freddy's next character is. Maybe I'll like them even more.
