The screaming recording bit is misleading. Max uses a fry scream, which is incredibly quiet until boosted by compression. A False chord Scream sounds similar but it's incredibly loud and the gain mist be lowered while recording to properly track.

A couple things i love about Shrek 2 is the fact that they made an American Idol called Far Far Away Idol thing where you could choose who wins (?) It's been awhile since I've watched the DVD version lol. And that Imogen Heap (they did the "mmm whatcha say" song) has a BANGER cover of I Need A Hero
