Friends, I gotta hand it to you. The Trudy/Tucker dynamic is well played. I have survived a Tucker. I’ve learned that unless someone has lived with a narcissist, they can’t understand how the gaslighting and manipulation gets to a person. They prey on your fears and insecurities. Beth mentioned in the Bluebeard’s Bride episode that Trudy was curious how she ended up in this situation. One could be the smartest, most educated person possible, yet they can fall under the sway of a narcissist just like that. Freddie describing the first kiss the way he did is SO ACCURATE to what it’s like to be in a relationship with a narcissist. I thought the scenario, creepy as it was, was absolutely realistic. I’m pulling for Trudy and Timmy. I really hope Timmy is unhurt. Let’s break that generational trauma.

It wasn't too bad. But only because it mellowed out/balanced out with how the flashbacks went. And especially the joke at the end with Francis saying he's going to idolize him now. It started a bit rough, and annoyingly undercutting everything Freddy tried to say or do. But it's building into a funny dynamic already so. Just growing pains it seems.
