And also, i totally agree about the body image thing, Beth. I cant really explain it but when i was a teenager and i saw that second part of the movie, i always thought - secretly and guiltily- that she looked kinda cool. Which i’m not proud of and i dont understand. But it fed into some insecurities i had since i was very little about my body. (Weirdly, 7 years after having my baby and having never been as “big” as i am now, and yet, neither have i ever been as confident about how i look as i am and do now - which is counter intuitive but maybe hopeful? )

Hey after this we watch Shrek 3 with Anthony (and the rest) okay?!?!? Its personally my favorite of the three, u can feel the writers having such great fun! (And also, never watching twilight movies any other way again,) (Also: Jacob and Bella seem to actually like each other. That ice cold rock hard ding dong of Edward must have really felt promising in their over the pants action) (And also: i always thought Edwards proposal to swim was kind of an insult, like he wanted a romantic version of “hey why dont you take a shower first because.. well i can smell that you’ve had quite a long day”). And another think: edward accusing bella of making that decision on her own is soooo.. f-ed. I mean, yes. But! When he found out she was pregnant, he made all the decisions, didnt even tell her what he was thinking or doing, and treated her like a doll. But it makes sense since their relationship doesnt include talking

Unfortunately I do have to defend Jacob. Imprinting isnt falling in love, its closer to becoming the person's slave. Imprinting binds you to the imprintee to the point where it physically hurts to be away from them and youd do anything to make them happy to the point of harming yourself. This was the first time I ever saw the weird CGI baby and I cried from how bad it looks. They couldn't even find a human woman to play the adult version. They just CGI her to. I can't wait to see the robot baby in the next one.

About the imprinting: if I remember correctly, one of the theories the Quileutes have for why it happens is that it makes the shifter “stronger.” Another theory is that has to do with being able to pass along the shifter gene. Which..I mean, this girl is half-vamp/half-human. So a Resumé + Jacob baby would be..something. Anyway, hurting her would hurt the packs too in one way or another. OH OH ALSO. Vampires bodies are essentially frozen once they turn. That includes their brain. (Bella’s brain is developmentally frozen at 3-days-before-19 years old.) Riboflavin over here though..technically born with a fully formed brain. AHH I can’t wait for the last movie so I can drop a bunch of unsolicited, uncomfortable Ravioli knowledge.
