More fake video game things
🕑 Added 2020-08-12 04:07:40 +0000 UTCVery slowly shaping how i want this project to look. i've drafted out the premise under the working title Mutagenesis and now i need to start thinking about the layout of the actual "game manual" itself for a directed approach. it's been really fun to be designing characters again, and since this won't be a comic i don't have to worry about the reproducibility of each design which means i can get as detail-oriented as i want lol. More to come.

i use CSP for everything and would recommend it. the interface/shortcuts are very similar to photoshop but it is a stronger program for illustration/painting/comics, while a little weaker on design/type. my pointers would be: - CSP has a ton of tricks you wont even know about unless you check their social media pages. they also have comprehensive tutorials for like every function on their website. - check the clip studio assets feature to dl free brushes and materials - it also has specific support for 3D objects, 2D animation, comics, print setup, inbuilt perspective rulers, brush stabilisation, loads of stuff. its versatile so see what works best for you!

Can I ask what software you're using, out of curiosity? I've been poking at Krita and CSP, and a tiny bit of Medibang, but haven't really decided on which one I should dive in with. Leaning towards CSP, but would like to find some pointers on setting it up, if possible.
