I think in some respects the issue with shows like Spaced is the way I see it is there's two types of comedy: The sort that make you laugh out loud regularly, and the sort that make you smile and nod in appreciation at how clever and witty it is. Both of equal quality potential, but the former just seems to work better as a reaction. I can see also why watching the latter type as a reaction may add a slight level of awkwardness that deflates some of the comedy that you'd appreciate more just watching it fresh on your own, when the reactors enjoyment may be a bit more subdued and it doesn't feel like its getting the big laughs. I won't deny Spaced probably fits into the latter category more, its more smart comedy with clever references and the like, rather than comedy that provokes guffawing in laughter, but its still extremely fkin great as a whole. I think it gets better as it goes too so if you're happy with this one you should be fine. It has made me think about what shows I consider to be great may not be best suited to reactions in general though for future votes.

Really enjoyed this episode. This was far better and much more like it... Still doesn't match the hype but if it matches a similar standard in future episodes, I'll stick with it... Peter Serafinowicz just makes any show or movie far funnier and more interesting with his precence.
