Would love to see you eventually react to Detectives, but probably specific episodes (As there are a couple of dud episodes, but I guess most shows have that). It is definitely a VERY underrated show though! You will love Rhod Gilbert's work exprience though! :)

There isn't that nuance unfortunately Martin. It's straight up racism and it's that which is supposed to get the laughs. Not the audience siding with Philip against Rigby in an " isn't he awful" kind of way.

Agree with Chris. The racism in Rising Damp is done pretty straight with no innuendo. It's the racism itself that's the point of the humour. This does retreat as the show enters the 2nd series and apart from the move away it does have some comedic value. But it can't move on from its start.

Not sure how rising damp plays in these more enlightened times. To put it bluntly it's overtly racist. And before anyone uses the "woke" card... Racism is racism and just because it's an old show doesn't make it acceptable now.

I concur Ideal was ace. I'd add Rising Damp, The New Statesman and The Detectives to your list, but the ones polling high right are definitely 'Meh.'

Not particularly. I did post something simular earlier but deleted it by mistake. I got the days mixed up and when I checked if it was on tonight and it wasn't I removed it. I thought today was Sunday. A few people have said they have not seen it at all. So I thought it would give people a chance to check it out.

Is this in reply to my post above? I've seen it in its entirety about 15 times and want it to win. I don't mind if it loses *properly* because no one is interested or people just prefer the other shows on the poll. I just hate it repeatedly coming in second place. So many want it, but second place every time! Aggravating! 🙈

Problem with Outnumbered is those kids age as the show progresses. It's not a pretty sight, Cute and very funny at first; but eventually hideous gangly puberty mutants.

Jonathan Creek is destined to come second place until the end of time. I honestly wouldn't mind if it were only ever getting a few votes and several other shows were clearly more popular but they're not. The fact that it actually drew first place on one poll and a second poll was created to which it lost makes it even more painful. 🙃

I love Johnathan Creek but it's completely wrong for this channel. It's not a laugh-out-loud show, it would be a nightmare trying to edit the reaction for youtube.

'Outnumbered' would be the one solid one that I can see on this list personally. Although the pacing and subject matter won't suit everyone.

Gah I suggested Fresh Meat so long ago but would love to see Jonathan Creek this time round as I suggested that too 😂 they’ll all get their time at least (except My Family, the first three series are okay but good god it dragged on so long even the actors hated it)

Could you add Life on Mars and its sequel series Ashes to Ashes to a future poll? (40 Episodes total) The sequel series continues & finishes the story so it might be worth doing both series together. Glad to see Still Game get so close, should hopefully win the vote in the next few polls!

Looks like I'm gonna be skipping Thursdays.. Fresh Meat or Jonathan Creek look like they're gonna win.. but I have had a few of my favs recently so no complaints! I wouldn't complain if Misfits or Ideal makes a last minute resurgence however!

Id like Jonathan Creek. Only thing id really watch. I know Josh would definitely like Misfits though. atleast those take 30 something weeks to watch compared to the complete drags that would take over a year

I've probably said it before, but Not Going Out is almost 2 different shows. Idk if it would make the poll less daunting, but the show kinda ends after 7 series, and the rest are more like a sequel/spin-off.

Johnny Vegas as a drug dealer is such a great idea for a sitcom. It reminds me of when I was at university and went to pick up some weed for myself and a housemate. The dealer was a huge, sketchy, north African called Sharif. I gave him the money and he just sat down and watched the TV so I asked where the weed was. He said 'It's on it's way'. I had to sit in his flat/shipping container for over an hour waiting for the weed while a cast of characters I had no desire to mingle with popped in to buy everything but weed. Nightmare.
