Very true, it was alot different than previous deaths/vampire killings in the show.

I found this one of the most disturbing episodes. Yes, we've seen people being killed by the vampires from the start, but for someone's entire personality and memories to be wiped and replaced is psychological horror territory we don't see much else of in the show. The existence of some sort of afterlife was established in an earlier series; unlike Marwa, at least the vampires' conventional victims presumably get to live on (in some capacity) as themselves. Still, with the inconsistencies and retcons we've seen elsewhere in the show (I don't mean to bash it, I still find it very funny), I suppose we can hope the original Marwa is doing well in some realm.
