Fantastic reaction, Josh! Just love this show and I think series 2 is stronger than series 1 overall. I like biscuits too, although I actually go off all food when I'm unhappy, including sweet stuff. I'm a happy eater! Looks like Karl is a comfort eater! Your summary of the situation in this episode is spot on I think. Karl actually has very low self esteem and self doubt in abundance. He's a bit proud so he's not one for openly admitting fault and he can seem quite off with people when it reflects badly on himself. I think it just embarrasses and upsets him being reminded of his own shortcomings. But he softened here with Ruby. Like you said, he needs to feel needed and Ruby needed help. He had a bit of a push to his self worth knowing he could make himself useful. 🙏
