when i first watched this episode at 12 years old, i thought it was well boring as there wasn't a murder and they were my favs of this show but watching it again, i really liked it and jack dee is looking fit here NGL

A fun fact, when they're doing the flashback and showing Dorothy planning the kidnapping with the 3 men, the last person you see, in the blue top with the shirt collar (at 51:40), that's David Renwick, the writer/creator.

The whole mix up with the giant dummy was Jonathan requested 12 feet, as in, 12 spare pairs of feet, not a dummy that was 12 feet in length lol

Watching it again, I think that Dudley suspected his wife had been cheating with Angus for a while. He's insecure and thinks he isn't good enough for her, so why wouldn't she? And in a twisted way, that makes it easier for him to justify sleeping with someone else; someone who isn't a megastar, and is more on his "level". Still messed up, but in that case you can kind of see how he got there.
