Shark repellent is made of "essence of dead shark" for this reason. Sharks will freak out and swim away.

I’ve been cage diving with great white sharks in Port Lincoln, it was pretty amazing to see them so close up. Would definitely recommend for anyone to go and do. Was better than skydiving

There's so much rad stuff about sharks - did you know when they die they put of necrosis pheromones so other sharks know there is danger where one was killed?!

A scarier thing than a great white shark is a great white shark that swims in the air, like in one of my nightmares when I was a kid. Also, fun fact, the chance of not surviving an encounter with a Jaws-sized great white is 92.6%* *extrapolated from a real data set I had on great white sharks encounters... Back when I was teaching statistics, I made it into an assignment question. I also had the students compute the LD50 of a great white shark.
