🕑 Added 2020-02-26 17:49:39 +0000 UTCI was on a night hike through Griffith Park with my poet friend, Alaska Lynch. When discussing my upcoming trip to the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show he told me I must go to Sedona in his most hypnotic and sonorous style of voice.
Fun Fact: Last year, when I told him of my upcoming trip to Berlin, he suggested I see the Ishtar Gate (we are both lovers of Ancient Babylon) and on following his suggestion I ran into Queen Nefertiti and had the most profound and moving aesthetic experiences in my life thus far.
So once again I listened to his wisdom and booked a trip north to Sedona. It’s a place known for it’s “energy vortices” which have been scientifically studied. The red of the rock comes from a high iron oxide content. There is also large deposits of quartz present. These two elements together channel and boost Earth’s electro-magnetic energy. These increased inflows and outflows of energy affect the environment as well as us humans.
They say God created the Grand Canyon but he lives in Sedona and I believe it. Being immersed in this unique energy for a week brought out many interesting changes in my consciousness. I was able to slow down and became much quieter inside and out. In that solitude I was able to make contact with Reality and confront some unpleasant Truths. Funny enough, I did meet an ancient God of Death and Rebirth in a hexagonal house during an intense spirit guide meditation.
My trip was very healing. I feel very positive about the difficult work of freeing myself from marijuana addiction and re-arranging my life in a such a way that I’m not constantly overwhelmed. It’s a process and I’m glad you are here with me while I work it out. Thank you for all your love and support. I am committed to strengthening myself so that I can do my best work for myself and for you. Your patience with me over the past couple years is very much appreciated. 🙌

Thank you for that response. I’m struggling with the all-day blazeathon as well. I know it isn’t good for me but after years of treating my anxiety with it, I seem to be stuck in a rut. Having a medical card doesn’t make it any easier. Thanks for sharing your story, your beautiful photos, and motherfucking Dune Club which I’m using as an amazing tool as I finish book 1 for the first time. You rock!

When I was out in AZ it was difficult to find weed and I had to spend some time without my crutch and it made me realize just how much I was leaning on it to get through my day to day. I’ve been so stressed out for so long...like I’ve been smoking everyday for YEARS bc I was kept in such a state of constant anxiety. That obviously isn’t healthy. For me, there isn’t anything wrong with smoking every now and again to take the edge off a hard day or to have fun or be social but to use it morning/noon/night bc my life is such a Shit Show is a real problem and it isn’t good for my lungs either. Rather than self medicate and keep going as I was, I need to reorganize my life in such a way that it isn’t so fucking crazy all the damn time and now that it’s just me and I don’t have anyone else to deal with or answer to I can do that.

I ran into the famous sculpture of her. You know the one, the bust with the big crazy hat. And when I did a spirit guide mediation, the guide that showed up identified itself as Osiris when I asked its name.
You’re “freeing yourself” from Marijuana? I always felt like you were a great proponent of using THC, and it made me feel good to have a role model who also medicates using cannabis. Sorry to see you turning around on this, what was the breaking point for you?
When you say you ran into Queen Nefertiti and met an ancient God of Death and Rebirth, what do you mean?

When my best friend lived in Phoenix and I would visit, we would drive 2 hours to Sedona just to watch the sun set. We later discovered Jerome, which is an amazing old mining town and from where you can look down into the valley and see Sedona. It’s such a beautiful area. I’m glad you got to discover it.

Felt the same way when visiting Ouray/Ridgway in Colorado. I'm not all that knowledgeable about energy lines & whatnot, but it was definitely a life-changing experience being out in that area, and helped me resort a lotta crap. Glad to hear something similar happened for you.
