Update! I slept on the new bed last night and I feel like my back was less tight this morning than usual. It’s definitely firmer than the mattress. The buckwheat hull pillow was too hard to sleep on so I opted for my regular pillows. Will keep you updated as I go.

No. It’s fine comfort wise. My needs are two fold. One, I want to erase my ex’s energy in my home. We bought the current bed together and it’s hella stained with his drool, I don’t want to have this in my house. Two, I’m thinking about doing some ceremonial magic stuff and need a space to work in. With a Japanese bed, I can easily put it away to free up space for rituals.
