🕑 Added 2021-09-14 15:40:16 +0000 UTCHello everyone, here’s your weekly dose of memes. Thank you for all your concern and health wishes this week. My eyes are slowly getting better, got some medicated drops I’m using and doing some hot herbal compresses on them.
Apparently I’m experiencing an eczema outbreak (particularly around my eyes and it’s spread to my torso). This is something I used to struggle with in my teens and I haven’t had a meaningful outbreak like this in over a decade.
So I’m taking a timeout this week to take good care of myself, eat well, and de-stress. Gonna try some herbal formulas to help my body heal and regain balance.
I already had a retreat scheduled this weekend anyway, so Saturday and Sundays streams are cancelled but I’ll be back for a makeup class for GEDC Session II Monday the 20th at 3:30 pm pt on Twitch and then we will be back on our regular schedule.
PS. I’ve reached out to Dunes PR team and am getting closer to being invited to a Dune screening…keep your fingers crossed for me.

Danica that sucks!!! This pandemic (along with other big life changes) has flared up my eczema too. Haven’t been this bad since I was really young. It was rough, doctor saw me and was like “Awwwww buddy! Are you ok? This looks sooo bad!” AHAHAHAHAHA THANKS DOC! Hope you are feeling better! Lots of lotion and CORTISONE LOL! Well wishes and “see” you on the 20th!

Thank you for your concern PJ :) The herbal treatments are from a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner in lieu of using the steroid creams prescribed by the doctor. However I am using the antibiotic eye drops they gave me. In my experience, while steroid creams do alleviate eczema, they essentially push the rash back into the skin rather than letting it out so it can pass.

Hope you get well soon. I know you have found relief in the past for your eczema through alternative medicine, but I would recommend you check with your doctor if your herbal compresses are contra indicated for your treatment. Supplements and other alternative treatments can interact with regular medicine, so it is important to mention them.
