Part 2: Shellacing Paper

Apply: Window Shade the shellac mixture one area at a time, left to right or reverse
Why Shellac Paper? It makes the paper more durable, its enriches the tones of the graphite giving it a beautiful depth. The paper feels less “cottony” and more wet feeling, it hardens the paper from the resin in the shellac. You can also use more multi media if you want and the paper will be a suited to handle it. You can paint on the paper with oil as well.

What brand of shellac flakes do you use? Does the colour of the flakes effect the outcome ? Thanks for the video !!! :-)

Hey Colleen! Another question. Is it safe to roll these pieces for storage or transport? Or does the shellac retain its brittleness and risk chipping/cracking?
