What I mean more is that it has to be going for something specific in the fight itself. Like, you're evoking a sort of specific setting/mood.

I think it's a style you'd need to be very sure about before you applied to something. It's one that some pictures would definitely support, but others really wouldn't.

For some odd reason the lighting on Harshwhinny looks a bit off though I can't figure out way as the rest of me thinks it's amazing >.< Overall I like the style, but wish my brain could fully agree on this. Also, DAMN THE FLYING SWEAT!!!! BEAT HER ASS DRY GILDA!!!
