I have my key but I just haven't had time to fire it up yet. I'll see what I can do next week!

Ive been thinking about this, lately. I was recently reading a novel ( Halfhead, Stuart Mcbride) which used as its setting a future where the confluence of automaton, advanced VR tech, and increased depression brought on by that automaton converged to create a society that would retreat to a virtual life as an escape. In north america and europe today, were seeing automaton used more and more and rates of depression reach all time highs as well. I don't think "mobile games" have the level of immersion necessary to get dangerous in a widespread way, but VR would do it if anything would. However, if we want to talk solutions, VR could be part of that too. The difference between the dream and the nightmare has always been whether we will escape to worlds that will comfort us or worlds that will challenge us.

Do you ever think about the possible harm caused by video games? As a high school teacher who also enjoys video games, I’m somewhat concerned about my students who play video games at the expense of sleeping well, doing homework, socializing, exercising, etc. I’m only in my 30s, so I grew up at a time when playing video games was a normal pastime. However, back then we still had to get together to play multiplayer, and we would meet at the arcade as well to play more advanced games. But now that video games are ubiquitous to the point that you can play advanced games on your phone, I’m worried that the addictive potential of video games is magnified. And yes, I went through a brief phase of playing mobile games. Curious as to what you guys think.

Did you happen to get in the Tactics V beta? I did and was curious of anyone else trying it out.

What do you think makes for an effective opening to a story? (Games/books/movies/etc)

What classic/forgotten RPG series would you guys like to see updated or reimagined? Personally, I feel like Skies Of Arcadia deserves another shot. The game was great, but I can only imagine what they could do with that IP now!

Jeez I wouldn’t like to think what my childhood would have been like without “Fantasy”

A simple yet very complicated question - Fantasy... What's the point? It's just a load of stuff that isn't real right?
