Based on research and observation, most ppl haven’t actually waited that long, only those in Japan that didn’t have a choice, most of us here waited anywhere from 8 years at most if you watched the dub (that ended 10 years ago from the beginning of this month to having just dubbed TYBW episode 32), to 6 years from when the manga ended in 2016 to when TYBW started on average, and 2 years bare minimum from when it was first announced 2020 at the very beginning of the pandemic.
