It's a little bit of an exaggeration. John Harvey Kellogg, the guy Kellogg's cereal company is named after, was all for sexual abstinence, partially inspired by how STD's, syphilis in particular, affected the mind. (He was a doctor.) He thought that a specific diet, eating fewer meals and less meat, would help limit that. Cereal wasn't created to curb masturbation, but his push for circumcision and putting acid on girl's genitals was. He's now credited for the popularity of circumcision for non-religious purposes. Funnily enough, the guy who invented graham crackers also felt similarly.

I thought the cab driver was either Santa or Cupid/Eros or some other love god. Cuz he is ABSOLUTELY magic, right!? But they never explore that or expand on that!

I only voted for it because it was on Netflix and I wanted to be able to watch something easily that was going to be reviewed. I hated it too, but Iβve seen worse.
