June flew by but it’s been fun. Jemma and I had a wonderful time in LA and it was an absolute fucking blast to do two shows at Dynasty Typewriter and meet so many of you! Thank you for being so kind and lovely! A few of us did an escape room in LA that I’d highly recommend called Stash House. It’s one of the better escape room experiences i’ve had. Other highlights from the trip include Erin taking me to The Cantiki and the RoseBowl flea market and a delish meal at La Pergoletta with the Big Grande guys.
Also got to swing by Toronto for a wedding, but to be honest the travel portion was so horrific it wasn’t worth going. But I still love Toronto’s vibe.
Jemma and I are fostering 3 kittens! There’s Coco, Emilio and Tumbles and they’re 17 weeks old. Jemma made them (and Fries and Brisket) a Tik Tok account the other day if you want to meet them: @kittiesandkittens

- The One That Got Away - Erin introduced this reality show to me tonight and we had an absolute blast enjoying how rough it is.
- The Old Man

- EVIL Season 1
- The Bear - really well done dark comedy about chefs and restaurants. Some of the pace of the show gets stressful but I really dug it overall
- Prehistoric Planet - recommended by Casey Toney. Episode 1 already blew my mind as I didn’t know T-Rex’s were ‘incredible swimmers’!!!???!!!!?
- Only Murders in the Building Season 2
- Peaky (Fuckin’) Blinders Season 6
- Players - funny mockumentary about competitive video gaming by the team that did American Vandal.
- They Call Me Magic
Movies:
- Old Henry - surprisingly good western movie with a fun twist
- RoadRunner
- The Quick and the Dead
- Robin Hood: Men in Tights
- Rise
Other Stuffs:
- Played 2 more games of the legacy version of CLANK with a friend group and I’m hooked.
- Reading and enjoying chef David Chang’s autobiography Eat A Peach

Hey Riddiots -
What a month. For any of you Riddiots that live outside of the US, can I come live with you? No, but seriously, what country are you in? Do you like it there? Sigh. Don't get me wrong, I love living in a declining empire run by a reactionary minority of oil companies and defense contractors who don't give a shit who lives or dies as long as their money machine keeps spinning. But like, maybe another country would be equally as good? Or maybe it's just a fun thing to think about.
Anyway, I don't remember what I watched this month, but I do see red when I close my eyes.
I do want to thank everyone for listening to the show and I sincerely hope you enjoy it. I very much enjoy it. Well, not listening to it, but like, making it. I'm so very grateful for all of your support. It was really cool meeting some of you in LA at the live show. I've also been listening to the hundreds of voicemails we've received since season 2 began and it's humbling to hear some of you share stories about what the podcast has meant to you. It's also nice to hear some drunken ramblings, soft sex(?) noises, and people sharing how they almost got into car accidents listening to the show. Be safe, you massive perverts. and please know, it's meant a lot to me as well.
Be well, be safe, and remember, it's generally not a good idea to put it in writing if you plan on committing a crime. I'm definitely not saying you should commit a crime, either. But also, not all crimes are immoral. Some crimes are actually very moral and it becomes a moral imperative to resist the society that criminalizes them. But still probably a bad idea to post about it.

HRR Updates/News
1. We have a live show tonight! There’s in person tickets still available or If you're not in Chicago, you can still get tickets (and watch for 48 hours after) at heyriddleriddle.com/live
2. Our next stretch goal will be for 6600 patrons and the reward will be a new limited series (probably 2 episodes) tentatively titled Horror at Camp Solveaway. It's a riddle-city-esque adventure set in a summer camp where things aren't what they seem.
3. The Review Crew livestream will be Wednesday 7/13 at 8pm CT. The youtube link will be posted to the patreon shortly before we begin.
4. For July we will be reviewing the first episode of Hey Riddle Riddle for Review Crew (what’s wrong with us?)

It gives me a lot of hope that people like JPC recognize our oppressors here in the US I started a community organization (Pirate Proles on Facebook) for my own town and hope to see many more like it so we can flood the ballots or whatever else we need to do to fix this mess. I can't wait for the live stream. Thank you all so much for helping me through the pandemic and more.
I'm in the UK and feel for people in the US so deeply! I feel very lucky that I am here with universal healthcare that is both free and protects my reproductive rights (even if the NHS is in shambles lol). Wouldn't recommend it over here though, our countries leader is a cunt (to put it politely!)

Today's (7/6) ep... sadly, JPC, Loving vs Virginia isn't safe, since it was decided on similar grounds as Obergerfell, which Thomas stated needs "reconsidering". His politics are deeply dangerous to say the least. No, atrocious. An atrocity.

As others have said directly and non, this podcast is a solace, and the live stream was, too. <3 P.S. I don't know if it was the venue's choice or yours, but hearing Stereolab before y'all came on brought a smile to my face, both for the music and lyrics.

@JPC my father in law could use some help on the rice farm in northern Japan. Politics here aren't much less infuriating but much easier to ignore when you physically can't read the news
Churches are being sold over here in Belgium to convert them into skateparks, grocerystores and restaurants... so I guess my country kinda sucks less.
